I was born and raised in Pensacola, Florida, and soon cultivated obsessions for dinosaurs, cartoons, Transformers, theater, and computers. At Rollins College in Winter Park, FL, I realized only one of those offered a viable career path, so I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science. In my free time I drew cartoons, DJed at the college radio station, and wrote and acted in a radio theatre show. I also built my first web page in early 1996, and worked on the college's web site as well as freelance projects.

From graduation in 1999 through 2009, I was a web designer and IT Director for a financial services company in Fort Worth, TX; a web designer and IIS administrator for an international credit union in New York, NY; and a web developer for an online game in Laguna Beach, CA. Each position provided me with new responsibilities and technical experience, contributing to my personal and professional growth. During this period, I also designed a variety of freelance web sites, got married, and co-created a comedy web series.

In fall 2009, I started a six-month contract as a Senior Web Developer for DisneyStore.com, the official online shop for the Walt Disney Company. Working on a multi-million-dollar site with hundreds of thousands of visitors a day has been a new and exciting experience for me, and my services were appreciated enough that the six months have stretched into over a year and counting. Unfortunately, a 15-month cap on contract employment with Disney means I must soon move on to my next opportunity. I have been very fortunate to have spent my career thus far working for companies that provided me with excellent opportunities for technical and creative growth. I hope to be able to continue that pattern with my next employer.
